So who is excited for iNSD? Do you have your shopping lists prepared and all the activities mapped out? I for one won't even be remotely near the computer this weekend so unless my favorite designers start iNSD early I'll be missing out. I'm kind of bummed about this although, it may be best for my check book! hahaha I have a few stores I circle in so I'm hoping either they start early or end late so I can still take advantage of some sales. Lord knows I don't need anything else at all but I can't stop adding to my stash!

It's been crazy around here. I think every night for the past 2 weeks I have had to get up in the middle of the night sometimes more than once with a sick child. I'm so ready for spring. I desperately want to open the windows and let in the fresh air...It seems like the cold weather is never going to end. On the flip side I do have some layouts to share. I've been busy! So far 2010 has been great for me and completing layouts!
Hope you are all having a great St. Patrick's Day. I'll be home with sick kiddos all day.

My baby just turned 4 years old. It's really bitter sweet. It makes me a little sad that the time went by so fast and that he'll be starting preschool soon but on the flip side, I am thankful that he is healthy and that I have so many WONDERFUL memories of the past four years with my baby!! They all grow up.... LOL I am looking forward to all that the future holds for my little man and to watching him grow and continue to learn about the world. I love you Jackie!

Forty-eight designers from around the community have joined together to bring you this incredible kit with the common purpose of raising funds for Haitian aid and relief. Our theme, "One Love", symbolizes not only our heartfelt effort to help the people of Haiti, but also encompasses the diverse styles of all the designers involved in this project. This kit represents the diversity of our community and shows that even though we are all different, when we come together the result is truly spectacular.

The proceeds from the sale of this kit will be donated to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. We chose the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund not only because it embodies the spirit of One Love, but also because 100% of the donations will go to the relief and recovery efforts in Haiti and because they are working to provide both immediate relief and long-term support to the earthquake survivors.

I recently had my negatives scanned by the ScanCafe b/c I wanted digitals of the boys when there were babies. I didn't have a digital camera for the first 7 months after they were born so having the negs scanned was something I have wanted to do for a while. (Plus I really wanted to try ScanCafe) I'm so happy to have them back in my possession along w/ a couple DVDS of their pictures! I'm having a lot of fun scrapping them and walking down memory lane!

So I told myself a while back I would start scrapping in order from the past forward since I'm so incredibly behind but I don't know if I can completely stick to that decision.. Breaking my own rule I dug up these pictures from last summer when we went to the state fair with my family. I couldn't resit using this cute kit by Jaque Larsen and Dani Mogstad (Funland). I know I created quite a few layouts with this kit but I didn't feel like cramming it all into one or two.... hey it's my scrapbook right? lol

This one is of my nephew and my sister! I wanted to do a special layout just for him. I also did this for the Tumble Challenge on Dani Mogstad's blog which is to scraplift a selected CT for the month. (4noisyboys) I lifted "The Graduate"

Big sigh, deep breath.... I wish I was as creative as some of the other ladies in the scrapbooking world. I have been admiring all these whimsical, artistic, extractions everywhere, dreamy, magical layouts and I just can't seem to figure them out! I know artistry comes from within... I'm not sure it can be taught so perhaps I'll have to settle just doing what I know how to do. For all of you out there who produce these amazing layouts like you Bec., you are truly admired. Someday I simply hope to master an extraction!

In today's layout I used a selection of times from two kits found at the Shabby Pickle (Faith True's Powder Room) and Pickleberry Pop (Jofia Devoe's It's Bathtime).

Since the boys have been in summer school I've been trying to get a little scrapping done here and there. My little guy is still home so I am getting more quality time with him too! Here are a couple of my most recent projects...

First Haircut

I didn't have any haircut kind of elements or kits so I just went w/ a kit that I love! It's bright and vibrant! Right after their first haircut we took them to get their pictures taken and Logan fell into one of the props and busted open his head. It was also the first major (well major to me) accident that one of my kids had. I think I cried b/c I felt so bad for my baby.

I'm thinking I am done w/ all 2004 layouts from my digi pictures. One of these days I will get my negs scanned and to the first 6 months of their lives! Time to start looking ahead to those 2005 photos.... Wow, just writing that down and saying it out loud makes my tummy hurt that I'm really that far behind. That's the story of my life though.

Still digging deep into those older photos! I'm trying to catch up in order so I might actually be able to start putting an album together other than the jumbled disarray that they are currently in. Here are a couple layouts of pictures from Oct. 2004 when visiting my momma. She always has a festive yard. Halloween is her favorite time to decorate and it helps that my step Dad is a produce man therefore there are always loads of pumpkins! The boys were just 8 months old here!

Slowly but surely I'm getting into scrapping again. I have picked up TONS of goodies from some amazing and super fantastic designers. My collection has surpassed my ideas. I've been scouring the Sweet Shoppe for potential scraplifts and ideas but I haven't implemented any of them yet! Go figure!

I'm looking forward to spring and I'm getting a little taste of it today and hopefully tomorrow. it's in the 70s here today! Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere else but I couldn't imagine living anywhere with one giant constant season! I love experiencing all the changes the seasons have to bring!

Here are a couple layouts I have just finished up w/ some 4 1/2 yr old photos! I really want to send my negs to scancafe so I can get the boy's albums caught up since I didn't have a digital camera for the first seven months of their lives! One of these days!

Elaine tagged me a while back and I'm just getting around to doing the challenge. Here's what you do. Go to your photo file then you go to the 6th folder and then on to the 6th photo. You then give a description of what the photo is. After that you challenge 6 friends to do the same thing.
This is a photo of my boys at 8 months and their great grandma! They were sitting with her and playing ball with our dog! Funny enough I was just going through these photos yesterday and today and preparing to get some of my older photos scrapped. Yep I seriously have pictures this far back to scrap.

I'll be watching Oprah tomorrow! It's all about living frugal and saving money. That's sounds totally up my alley. LOL... Will you be watching? I wanted to post this on my new blog (My Frugal Finds) but it's currently been disabled for a couple days. LOL Apparently it looked like spam. Oh well. I have time to wait!

Yesterday my main computer got ticked off again and had a meltdown. Gotta love Vista. It crashed during a Service Pack update. All is well though; I'll just have to reinstall some programs but I don't think I lost any files this time! Alright....gotta get a move on! Later.

Memory Box

I finally got around to making a memory box for the twins. This was a hybrid project from September's DST insider. Mine isn't near as cute as the example but this is my first ever hybrid anything so I'm satisified w/ how it turned out. Now I actually have a place to go w/ all their school papers and momentos from Preschool! It did feel good to just open photoshop after all this time w/ not paying it any mind!

First Day of School

Well the first day of preschool has come and gone. Landon started a few days ago but this was the first official day. We have had a few hiccups but school seems to be going well now. The boys love their teachers and really really enjoy playing on the playground. I couldn't wait to scrap these photos but it turns out I don't really love my layouts. I may redo them sometime in the future but for now I can at least say I have them scrapped even if it's not to the best of my ability. hahah I promise I'm not an underachiever but rather suffering from creative block! I hope all of you have had great back to school send-offs this year. I miss my boys terribly and have to figure out a new routine and what to do with the house so quiet. Clean? hmm maybe!
