Big sigh, deep breath.... I wish I was as creative as some of the other ladies in the scrapbooking world. I have been admiring all these whimsical, artistic, extractions everywhere, dreamy, magical layouts and I just can't seem to figure them out! I know artistry comes from within... I'm not sure it can be taught so perhaps I'll have to settle just doing what I know how to do. For all of you out there who produce these amazing layouts like you Bec., you are truly admired. Someday I simply hope to master an extraction!

In today's layout I used a selection of times from two kits found at the Shabby Pickle (Faith True's Powder Room) and Pickleberry Pop (Jofia Devoe's It's Bathtime).

A couple of projects

Since the boys have been in summer school I've been trying to get a little scrapping done here and there. My little guy is still home so I am getting more quality time with him too! Here are a couple of my most recent projects...

First a 2 pager using Yin's two page template #79, elements by Kate Hadifeld's Vehicle Doodles and Vehicle Doodle Extras, Over Drive elements by Kate Hadfield and Jaque Larsen, papers are from the "Douglas" kit by Melissa Bennett.

First Haircut

I didn't have any haircut kind of elements or kits so I just went w/ a kit that I love! It's bright and vibrant! Right after their first haircut we took them to get their pictures taken and Logan fell into one of the props and busted open his head. It was also the first major (well major to me) accident that one of my kids had. I think I cried b/c I felt so bad for my baby.

I'm thinking I am done w/ all 2004 layouts from my digi pictures. One of these days I will get my negs scanned and to the first 6 months of their lives! Time to start looking ahead to those 2005 photos.... Wow, just writing that down and saying it out loud makes my tummy hurt that I'm really that far behind. That's the story of my life though.

Kit: Shabby Babies by Shabby Miss Jenn. This is a scraplift of "Heavenly Blessing" by SusieU.K She created a beautiful layout and it's a million times better than what I attempted to scraplift. Her work is gorgeous. I stink at extracting too! I definately don't have a steady hand!

More Oldies.. Hoot Hoot!

Still digging deep into those older photos! I'm trying to catch up in order so I might actually be able to start putting an album together other than the jumbled disarray that they are currently in. Here are a couple layouts of pictures from Oct. 2004 when visiting my momma. She always has a festive yard. Halloween is her favorite time to decorate and it helps that my step Dad is a produce man therefore there are always loads of pumpkins! The boys were just 8 months old here!

A couple pages

Slowly but surely I'm getting into scrapping again. I have picked up TONS of goodies from some amazing and super fantastic designers. My collection has surpassed my ideas. I've been scouring the Sweet Shoppe for potential scraplifts and ideas but I haven't implemented any of them yet! Go figure!

I'm looking forward to spring and I'm getting a little taste of it today and hopefully tomorrow. it's in the 70s here today! Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere else but I couldn't imagine living anywhere with one giant constant season! I love experiencing all the changes the seasons have to bring!

Here are a couple layouts I have just finished up w/ some 4 1/2 yr old photos! I really want to send my negs to scancafe so I can get the boy's albums caught up since I didn't have a digital camera for the first seven months of their lives! One of these days!
